About Kate Partington
Find Out More
Kate Partington is a collage artist, curator and workshop facilitator. As a visual artist Kate works at the intersections of physical and digital collage navigating between the analogue world and the digital world.
Her methods of work often begin with handout paper collage before these are translated digitally to produce the final outcomes.
Through fragmented images and fluid, dreamlike compositions, she tries to translate what it feels like to love, desire, and struggle with vulnerability. Her pieces become visual conversations around complex emotions—those of longing, connection, isolation—and a way of reconciling her own experiences and those shared amongst us all. The human body is central to her work, both as a site of emotion and a symbol of connection, allowing her to reimagine and reorganise form to convey the depth of unspoken sentiment.
Kate runs arts workshops both as a freelance artist and as creative director of Re.Mark (Age Uk Manchester’s sustainability project).
Kate graduated from the University of Leeds in 2022 with a first classification BA(hons) in Art and Design.
